With a diverse family background of many cultures and customs, Micheline was not short of any influences.Her works are emotions of the extraordinary life she experienced. The cultures of many countries and the varieties of landscapes, Mich manages to illustrate all the life and colour they have to offer. Her early works are filled with splashes of bold, distinguished marks, creating movement across the canvas. An explosion of emotions and colour that captivate the viewer. Capable of realism, Mich portrays the 'CAPE FLOWER SELLERS' in their true environment. It is when Mich starts to travel to Central and Southern Africa, the viewer becomes exposed to her strong bond with the continent. The AFRICAN series invites the viewer to experience the textures, colour and unity Africa has to offer in the most unique way.Capturing the people, more so the environment, the melting pot of colour this land owns and achieving harmony and balance on her canvases.
